Revisionary Blues
I've got the blues now
my clearance was red
my laptop was subpoenaed
and turned over to the feds
your guilt is a given
if they’re looking for drugs
when I met the task force
they acted just like thugs
it's a revisionary era
the church is mating with the state
intolerance is called for
because heaven will not wait
I've paid my dues now
I want to relax
better check out statutes
on unnatural acts
my neighbors are getting nervous
my kids could turn me in
I could be convicted
of first degree sin..
it's a revisionary era
the church is mating with the state
intolerance is called for
because heaven will not wait
the red scare of the fifties
the backlash of today
the reformers know what's best for me
and how I'll have to pay
they'll try to hypnotize me
with slogans and cheap lies
alarming "facts" with no support
just look into their eyes
it's a revisionary era
the church is mating with the state
intolerance is called for
for heaven you can hate
