Walk in Heaven

I guess it's time pack it in and leave, now

no matter what the price in pride or pain

you'll hurt me just as often as I let you

till I admit I've lost more than I've gained

and the stars are dim in the night, above the city

where the streetlights lead the lost into a maze

when you're hungover at dawn and you need the curtains drawn

I'll be the loss that you'll regret all of your days

because we don't have a future together

I don't foresee a fortune to tell

when I'm gone I hope I walk in heaven

but I hope you burn in hell...

the music's a reminder of the good times

though now those memories just make me fume

you said that I looked better with the lights off

and while I worked, well you would sleep till noon

and the cars pass by, each driver in their own world

none will meet until someone is hurt

when the ambulance is gone, and the spectators move on

death and pretty women love to flirt.....

because we don't have a future together

I don't foresee a fortune to tell

when I'm gone I hope I walk in heaven

but I know that you will burn in hell...

tonight I broke a bottle for the old times

I used to like to walk on broken glass

my love is now infected with hatred

and the chance to hurt is one that I can't pass

I've lost myself in the patterns of this city

they haul the trash away just once a week

when the garbageman is gone and it starts to rain at dawn

the end of another day is all I seek....

but we don't have a future together

I don't foresee a fortune to tell

when I'm gone I hope I walk in heaven

somehow I know you will burn in hell...
